A New Dusk, Darkness approaches... Options

~Mimi~

When her assertive classmate grabbed her arm, Mimi offered no resistance. Her body followed by itself, as the sheer shock of someone touching her had temporarily overloaded the poor girl's mind.



~First Year Girls~

The two girl smiled at Tessa gratefully. "Thank you!" They worked together on collecting the many, many lost sheets.



~Nina~

The girl slowly looked up at Sumire, tilting her head curiously. "Shopping." Her voice was soft, like a breeze of wind.



~Nodoka~

"In your class?" Nodoka looked at her underclassman in surprise. "Goodness, no." She smiled. "I'm in sixth grade."

[Tessa]

~Tessa~

Working quickly, but carefully, Tessa helped the two girls pick up all the papers before standing back up, "Be careful, alright?"

With a friendly smile she made her way down towards the lunchroom, hoping the things her friends wanted wouldn't be sold out.

~Sumire~

Sumire gave a small sigh. If the girl had plans, there would be no reason for her to go to the library after school.

Then, Sumire had a thought. "You wouldn't mind a tag along, right?"

[Ginny]

Ginny bit her bottom lip as she walked alongside the taller girl, looking up at her as they made their way back through the corridors. "Sixth grade.... what grade am I in?", she asked, blushing a little. Everything was different back home, and she still hadn't figured out how to match age to grades yet.

[Nos]

~Rosemary~

Rosemary opens one of the stalls in said bathroom, and sits the overwhelmed girl down on it. “…Okay, spill the beans….what’s wrong with you? Why are you so quiet? Tell!” She pokes Mimi in the chest to accentuate the point.

[Juana]

~Cafetaria crowd~

"Hey, back of the line!" Almost as soon as Tessa steps into the cafetaria someone was yelling at her not to cut in line. Not that there was any line to speak of, as everyone was pretty much piled up against the counter as the staff behind tried to help everyone at once.


~Nina~

The girl looked down at her feet, a faint tinge of red touching her cheekbones. "No..."


~Nodoka~

"Well, most people in first grade are ten or eleven," the upperclassman replied. She sized Ginny up from top to bottom. "From the looks of you... I'd say first grade."


~Mimi~

The only reply that Rosemary received was a shocked silence. Her classmate stared up at her with wide eyes, much like a frightened deer.

[Tessa]

~Tessa~

"Ah, sorry," Tessa said softly, moving to the back of the crushing crowd. She made sure though to keep a small distance between her and the person in front of her, not pressing in like the others.

Sumire gave a lopsided smirk. "Great, then it's a date." With that, she was satisfied at her effort to make a friend. Hopefully, friendship was what this exchange would lead to.

After a moment, Sumire said, "Oh, I'm Sumire Fukuzawa. Sumire's fine."

[Nos]

~Rosemary~

Rosemary rolls her eyes, and snaps her figures in front of Mimi's face. "Hello? CAN YOU HEAR ME? Say something!"

[Ginny]

"Oh... so you must be sixteen?", she asks, and blushes at how she could have possibly even thought this girl might be in her class. She bites her lip and looks down. "Sorry... ".

[Juana]

~Strange girl~

While Tessa waited patiently at the back of the crowd she could actually see the store's inventory slinking. Would there be anything left at all? Just then there was a sudden cry of pain, and a little girl came staggering backwards out of the crowd. She fell down onto her bottom with a cute 'ow!' but no-one seemed to pay any attention to her as she tried to rub both her head and her bottom at the same time.


~Nina~

"D- Date?!" the girl's eyes widened, but she seemed taken by surprise almost a much by Sumire introducing herself. "Ah, uhm... Nina. Shizuka Nina." After a heartbeat's pause Sumire noticed the small offered hand.


~Mimi~

"Eek!" The scared girl staggered backward, pressing herself against the wall. "I- I- I'm sorry!" She closed her eyes tightly, her face lowered to the floor as if expecting to be hit.


~Nodoka~

"Eighteen, actually," Nodoko replied cheerfully, "I missed two years of school. Ah, here's first years' classrooms." The girl gestured down the hall in which they stood. "You'll soon be intimately familiar with these halls, I'm sure."

[Tessa]

~Tessa~

Seeing the little girl fall Tessa gave a small gasp, and then leaned over next to her, "Are you alright?" she asked with a smile, offering a hand to help her get back up.

[Ginny]

"Will I see you again?", Ginny asked, gazing up at the much taller girl, her arms holding the slightly too-big violin case to her chest as they came to a stop outside one of the classrooms.
